Zazen Meditation and Yoga
One Day Retreat

Led by Zenryu (zen buddhist monk, chef and farmer)

Zenryu is a Zen Buddhist monk and vegan chef of over 40 years. He and his wife moved their small-scale organic farm from Kyoto, Japan to Ontario 3 years ago. Zenryu integrates zen practice into his daily life such as farming, wellness routines, and even cooking. Come learn about zen practice, formal Zazen meditation, and the traditional style of Hata yoga. 

Zazen is the practice of attending to experience as it presents itself, with and as the whole bodymind. While the mind may wander off into thoughts of the past, interpretations of the present, and speculations concerning the future, the body is always right here and right now. Thus, zazen begins with the body practicing an upright and attentive posture.


Bring- your own yoga mat, meditation cushion or blanket.

9:30-11:30 yoga and meditation

12:00-1:00 vegan lunch *g.f.

1:00-2:00 break and free time

2:00-4:00 zazen meditation and chanting
